Indoor sports complex in the City of Baunatal
SecuriFire and ASD 535 demonstrate fitness
The recently redeveloped indoor sports complex in the City of Baunatal is equipped with SecuriFire and the aspirating smoke detector SecuriRAS ASD 535, ensuring maximum safety and making sure that dicey situations only happen on the playing field.
Core features of the sporting complex are the panorama glazing, the tartan circle track on the first floor and the partially mobile rostrum that seats 1,326 spectators.
Energy saving and fire protection played a big role during the refurbishment works. The City of Baunatal commissioned all areas of fire safety to Securiton GmbH.
Equipment used includes the fire alarm system SecuriFire and the aspirating smoke detector SecuriRAS ASD 535. Point smoke detectors of the SecuriStar line monitor hallways, storage rooms and change rooms. However, the ceiling height in the main arena is too high for them, which necessitates the use of specialised fire detection equipment. Intake pipes installed in the ceiling take in air that is analysed by three ASD assessment units in the background. Upon the detection of hazardous smoke particles, the ASD 535 initiates the alarm immediately. All components of the fire safety system are controlled by SecuriFire. The alarm system is connected to the safety control office WSH, which is part of our group of companies. This ensures that even if no one is on site, for example at night times, adequate intervention methods are initiated quickly
