The concept for outdoor surveillance consists, on the one hand of mechanical protective measures such as fences, walls or ditches, complemented on the other by various sensor and video surveillance systems. Alerts from the surveillance system are relayed to a central control room, where they are logged, evaluated, recorded and displayed – and from where the peripheral systems are remotely controlled. These also alert the security and intervention personnel. The solution can if required be rounded off by the addition of such installations as floodlighting and public address systems.
