Keeping a safe eye on the NATO Summit
Securiton acting as a partner of the security services
NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) was founded 60 years ago, an anniversary which was celebrated on 3 and 4 April 2009 with an international summit meeting held in Baden-Baden, Kehl and Strasbourg. An enormous security presence was in attendance to protect the Heads of Government from 28 member states. Securiton GmbH was responsible for all video technology on the German side.
The whole region surrounding Baden-Baden and Kehl was turned into a high-security zone for the NATO summit. Approximately 25,000 police officers were deployed on both sides of the Rhine. In its capacity as a partner of the security services, Securiton GmbH took on a major responsibility for technical security. The company made its whole range of professional video technology available for use in the German venues accommodating the anniversary summit.
