Early fire detection using an aspirating smoke detector

A solution for environmental conditions where security is critical and where standard smoke detectors do not afford sufficient protection

The limits of punctiform smoke detectors are reached in many surveillance areas. The prevailing environmental conditions and the prevalent disturbance factors are too demanding to permit the deployment of standard smoke detectors. These applications use special fire alarm systems such as aspirating smoke detectors. The new European EN 54-20 Product Standard means that today’s aspirating smoke detectors have reached new dimensions in terms of speed of detection and reliability.
