Waste disposal and recycling without the risk of fire

A tailored early-warning system in a waste disposal company

Waste disposal companies are a typical example of the type of area in which special fire alarm systems are deployed. The main priority in such environments is the high fire load constituted by the materials being processed as well as by such machine equipment as rubber conveyor belts. Account also needs to be taken of disturbance factors.

This article presents a two-level detection concept. The factory floor areas are monitored for smoke development whereas the machine shops (sorting plants) are checked for heat development. Specially suited linear fire alarm systems are deployed.
