The public utility company Stadtwerke Bühl GmbH provides over 7,200 households with vital drinking water supplies. It goes without saying that the 30,000 people who live in the district town of Bühl and the population of the extensive surrounding areas expect drinking water to be available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Water is drawn from two groundwater pumps and 27 wells. Stadtwerke Bühl GmbH hit upon the idea of pioneering certain security arrangements to ensure unbroken water supplies.
The company set itself the task of adding innovative security technology to its 202 kilometres of supply pipes and twelve elevated water storage reservoirs.
